Marketing Internship (Vancouver, BC)

Required: minimum 2 days / week (8 hours / day)

“How am I supposed to get experience or build my network if no one will give me an opportunity?” Well that’s what this internship is for! Feedback Management is looking for an ambitious and driven post secondary student to work starting end of April / early May. The Marketing Internship will provide overall support in preparation and production of all marketing based projects and communication tools focusing on brand awareness for all Feedback Management brands.

Requirements:
•    A passion for music, fashion and /or action sports
• Aptitude for current and emerging web technologies and social media trends
• Experience with Wordpress
•    Must be familiar with sites including, but not limited to the following: Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, etc.
•    Strong skill using Microsoft Word, Excel andOutlook/Entourage or Mac Mail
•     Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML
•    Experience with CMS and/or Dreamweaver a plus
•    Photoshop required (Illustrator, Flash a plus!)
•    Ability to type 30+ words per minute
•    Strong knowledge of the English language/grammar & well written
• Working towards or in possession of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, PR or a related field.
• Internet / research savvy
• Previous Action Sports / Fashion Industry experience or knowledge preferred
• Laptop computer with relevant programs to work on in the office is an asset
• Valid driver’s license is an asset

Responsibilities:
• Publish online content daily
• Set up and share content through social networking sites
• Writing press releases and introductions
• Written and verbal out reach with Canadian media contacts / Customer Database
• Assist with marketing projects, events, business development projects, etc
•    Seek out and take advantage of new areas for growth
• Answer phones, assist with customer service and sales, etc
